SCAIFE, H. Graham

Died peacefully on Saturday, March 28th after a loving, meaningful, and full life. Graham was almost 102 years old and remained an absolute gentleman to the end. Predeceased by his devoted wife Mabel (Caldwell) of 53 years. Forever in the hearts of son Robert Scaife and wife Lanny (South Carolina) and daughter Catherine Trewartha and husband Laurence (Pickering). Sadly missed by grandchildren Jeffrey and Brian Scaife; Jamey, Christopher, Michael, and Kailey Trewartha; and great-grandchildren Jacob, Emma and Ethan Scaife, and Liam Trewartha. Graham was raised in Hamilton but was very proud of the 6 years of his school life that were spent in New York City as “boy soloist” for the Episcopalian “Little Church around the Corner”. He was associated with the R.T. Kelley Advertising Agency in Hamilton for 25 years, retiring as President in 1973. He was an enthusiastic curler, member of the BG&CC, and Past President of the Hamilton Ad Club. Very special thanks to the amazing care staff at Sunrise of Burlington for their kind and compassionate care in Graham’s advanced years. Also to neighbours Margaret and Doug for always watching over him. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of DODSWORTH & BROWN FUNERAL HOME, 2241 New Street (at Drury Lane), Burlington, 905-637-5233 on Thursday April 2nd at 11:00 AM, with visitation before the service at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred for the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Alzheimer’s Society, or charity of your choice.
