Dominador Ofilan
June 6, 1946 - January 30, 2017
Our hearts are deeply saddened by the unexpected and sudden passing of our beloved Dominador Ofilan Jr. who joined our Almighty Lord in Heaven on Monday, January 30th, 2017 surrounded by family and loved ones. Dom graduated as a civil engineer in the Philippines and worked for IBM Canada for 30 years. He married the love of his life, Virginia at St. Paul’s Basilica on March 2, 1972. They had two daughters Christine and Melanie. Dom enjoyed his retirement taking long nature walks, watching tennis and boxing matches, playing basketball, travelling, spending time with friends and family and most especially, spending quality time with his grand kids. He is survived by his loving wife Virginia, daughter Christine, son-in-laws James and Kristian and his beloved grandchildren Isaac, Lucas and Ava. He was preceded in death by his parents Dominador and Angeles; brother Virgilio and his daughter Melanie. Join us in the blessing and celebration of life for Dom, loving husband, supportive dad, caring brother, dedicated son and doting grandfather. We will miss your piano concertos, talented Sinatra Karaoke and most of all your loving and high spirited energy that will remain in our hearts forever. Our family would like to extend our gratitude and thank you to the staff at The Juravinski Hospital. Visitation will be held on Friday February 3, from 2-4PM and 6-8PM (Prayer service 7:30) at the DODSWORTH & BROWN FUNERAL HOME-BURLINGTON CHAPEL (2241 New Street at Drury Lane 905-637-5233).
