<div itemprop="description">PRENDERGAST, Carolyn Althea (nee Wright) 1930-2016<br /><br />Peacefully, with family by her side, on April 18, 2016 At Billings Court Manor, Burlington, Ontario. Survived by her husband of sixty-two years, John, and daughters Susan (John Avis) and Martha (Mark Welch) and granddaughter Lindsay. Also survived by her nieces Lois and Larri, and nephews Patrick and Jeff all of California. Predeceased by her son Bill, parents Margery (O&rsquo;Connor) and William Rexford Wright. Also predeceased by her sisters Diane and Wilma, her brother Larry and niece Virginia. Carol will be remembered for her many random acts of kindness, she was always there for those in need; her unique sense of humour; her ability to turn arts and crafts into a masterpiece; her love of family celebrations and holidays; but mostly for her unconditional love and the joy of being a grandmother! We will move on knowing she is the strength beneath our wings. Visitation with reception Saturday April 23rd at the DODSWORTH &amp; BROWN FUNERAL HOME, BURLINGTON CHAPEL, 2241 New Street (at Drury Lane), Burlington, 905-637-5233 from 2:00 &ndash; 4:00 p.m. Private interment at Burlington Memorial Gardens at a later date. Many thanks to the Ansley staff at Billings Court Manor for their excellent care and compassion During Carol's illness.
