<div itemprop="description">APPLEYARD, AUDREY ILEEN (nee Hewlett). The KELPIN family is saddened to announce the passing of Audrey Appleyard on February 20, 2016 in her 81st year. Survived by her daughter Lee-Ann (Brian) and grandsons Ryan (Amy) and Alex (Katie). She had a large family and was a sister to Shirley (Lloyd), Margaret, Donna, Debbie, Jean (Robert), Gerald, Albert, Doug and sister in law to Wilf&rsquo;s brother Don (Ruth) and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Wilf (2012) parents Albert Hewlett (1997) and Dorothy Tazzman Hewlett (1954), step mother Jean Hewlett (2002), sister Evelyn (1952) brothers Bill (1998), Wilfred (1993), Edward (2002), half-brother Wayne (1982), step brother Edward (2005) and brother in law Ken (2007) and his wife Fran (2013). She will be missed by her best friend Helga (Lothar) in Burlington. A special thank you to the Visiting Angels and especially Janice who cared for both Wilf and Audrey and the wonderful staff, nurses, doctors and especially Linda Lea at the Woodlands of Sunset. Audrey received loving palliative care from the PSW&rsquo;s, Nurses and staff at the Woodlands of Sunset - their gentle care will always be remembered. Audrey was born in Windsor where she raised her only child Lee-Ann until she fell in love with and married Wilf at the Salvation Army on May 31, 1969. They lived in Brantford, Burlington and finally to Welland to be closer to their daughter and grandsons. Audrey always had a puzzle on the go, was working on her ceramics or spending time with her beloved grandsons. They were members of the New Apostolic Church in Bronte. The family will receive visitors at DODSWORTH &amp; BROWN FUNERAL HOME 2241 New Street, Burlington, 905-637-5233 Saturday, February 27, 2016 from 12:30 to 1:30 pm with a Memorial service at 1:30pm, An interment service at Burlington Memorial Gardens (3353 Guelph Line) will follow. Donations to the Alzheimer Society of Niagara Region would be welcomed.<br /><br /></div>
