<div itemprop="description">BORTHWICK, Marion Olive<br>Passed away peacefully on Monday September 5, 2016 at the Joseph Brant Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by husband Owen and son John and brothers Campbell and Edward Barrett and sisters Kathleen Jack and Jean Pyke. Loving mother to Pam and grandmother to Michael and Jane. Born in Mornington Township, Ontario in 1921 and raised in Stratford, Marion also lived in London, Windsor, and Toronto, eventually settling in Burlington in the late 1980s. A talented artist and exceptional cook, Marion was known for her vitality and enjoyed a healthy 95 years of life. She had many nieces, nephews and friends who will miss her conversations. The family would like to give a heartfelt thanks to the March of Dimes, Home Instead, the staff of Christopher Terrace Retirement Residence and the nurses and doctors of Joseph Brant Hospital. Special thanks to Ann, Kirsten and Leah for their love and care. Donations can be made to the Red Cross, Salvation Army or March of Dimes. A Funeral Service will be held at the Parish of St. Luke (1371 Elgin Street, Burlington), followed by a reception in the Parish Hall (1382 Ontario St, Burlington), at 1:00 pm on Saturday September 10.
