FORRESTER, Ronald William "Ron" (Founder of the Canadian Jui Jitsu Association and the Canadian Jui Jitsu Council)
Passed away peacefully after a brief illness, and with his family by his side, on Monday February 18, 2013. Ron Forrester, in his 86th year, will be greatly missed by his wife Jessie, son John (Maureen), Grandsons Chris (Carolyn), Greg (Michelle), Great Grandsons Lucas, Colin, Tyler, Evan, and sister Beryl (Allan) of England. Predeceased by his first wife Ethel in 1995. Ron was a Professor 10th Degree Black Belt, and known world wide as master of Jui Jitsu for Canada. He was the author of the "Canadian Jui Jitsu Technical Manual".
Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be held Monday February 25, at 10:30am, at St. Raphael's Church 4072 New St., Burlington. Instead of flowers, please consider a donation in Ron's memory to the Alzheimer Society. Arrangements entrusted to Dodsworth & Brown Funeral Home "Burlington Chapel".
