Born in Hamilton to loving parents Beulah (Williamson) and John Jackson. Endeared wife of Larry Ridge. Nurturing mother of Carolyn (Alan) Whiskin and Kevin (Leslie) and adored grandmother of Hilary, Claire, Jordyn and Noah. Matriarch to cousins Bruce, Bernice, Bob and Cheryl. <br /> <br />As a young woman she built life-long friendships in the business office of the Hoover Company of Canada (Hamilton). She was a model for Graftons Clothiers and Giddings Furriers among others and was also a proud member of the Tigerettes featured in the Hamilton Tiger-Cat Football Club on-field entertainment of the late 1950s. <br /> <br />Consummate homemaker, ardent parent volunteer, organizer and advocate at Strathcona Public School, Burlington and in the Burlington Teen Tour Band Boosters. Truly one of a kind! Lois will be remembered as an extremely thoughtful, vibrant and classy lady who made all who knew her feel special and important. <br /> <br />The family is most appreciative of the caring, efficient and sensitive care afforded Lois by Dr. Hack and the nursing staff on Ward 4 South at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital.
