<div itemprop="description">Laurie Heather Gillner (nee Rogers)<br><br>April 2, 1952 - October 13, 2016 <br><br>Funeral arrangements by Dodsworth and Brown Funeral Service (New Street) <br><br>Suddenly, at the St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton, on Thursday, October 13th, 2016, Laurie Heather Gillner (nee Rogers) of Burlington in her 64th year.<br><br>Loving wife and best friend for 29 years of her late husband Reinhard Gillner. Beloved mom to Scott and his wife Cheryl of Burlington, and Mark and his wife Lisa of Waterdown. Doting Gramma of Kassi and Alexa. Beloved daughter of the late Frances and the late Kenneth Rogers of Montreal. Adored daughter-in-law of the late Paul and Elfriede Gillner of Etobicoke, Ontario. Loving sister to Sandra Hawley and the late Carol Flood. <br><br>Laurie will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her family, many friends, and all those whose lives she so selflessly touched on a daily basis.<br><br>Special thanks to Dr. Keith Comeau, for always going above and beyond in caring for our family. <br><br>As per Laurie’s wishes, cremation has occurred. A private interment service will be held for family and friends on Tuesday October 25th at 11:00 AM at Burlington Memorial Gardens, 3353 Guelph Line, R.R. #1, Burlington, ON L7P 0S7. Family & friends are invited to gather after the interment service to share fond memories of Laurie during a Celebration of Life Ceremony from 12:00-2:00pm at St. John's Anglican Church, Parish Hall, 2464 Dundas St, Burlington, ON L7R 3X4.<br><br>In lieu of flowers, donations to either SickKids Foundation or the Burlington Humane Society is Laurie’s preference and would be very much appreciated.<br><br></div>
