BROWNHILL, Gordon Isaiah (Veteran WWII RAF & RCAF, Founder of Gordon Brownhill Insurance Agency)
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Gordon Isaiah Brownhill at Billings Court Manor on Wednesday February 25, 2015, in his 96th year. No more pain or ongoing suffering.
Gordon leaves behind his loving wife Dorothy of 70 years, son Ken (Barbara deceased May 2014), daughters Susan Aleksa (John), Diane Miller (Mark), grandchildren Trevor (Krystine), David, Andrea, Sean, Joshua, Emma, and 4 great grandchildren Katelynn, MacKenzie, Kennedy and Jacob. Predeceased by his parents and brothers Ernie, Bob, and sisters Pearl and Ethel
Gordon served in WW II with the RAF and RCAF, serving as Flight Engineer by piloting Lancaster Bombers. Gordon founded the Gordon Brownhill Insurance Agency, which still bears his name to this day.
Friends will be received at DODSWORTH & BROWN FUNERAL HOME "BURLINGTON CHAPEL", 2241 New St. (at Drury Lane) Friday from 3-5 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel Saturday February 28, at 11 am. Interment Burlington Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Central Presbyterian Church-Benevolent Fund, 165 Charlton Ave. West, Hamilton L8P 2C8, or St. Christophers Anglican Church-Discretionary Fund, 662 Guelph Line, Burlington, L7R 3M8.
